Fillings
Bacteria cause weak spots in your teeth called cavities. They will keep growing until they are removed and replaced. We offer tooth colored fillings that will help protect your teeth from further breakdown.
Root Canals
Once a cavity is deep into the tooth it will likely cause pain. Root canal therapy allows you to keep your tooth as we remove the infected pulp tissue. Removing this tissue helps relieve pain and saves the tooth.
Crowns and Bridges
When cavities are large they have broken down a lot of tooth structure. We replace this tooth structure with porcelain or metal crowns. When someone is missing a tooth between two teeth the can replace the missing tooth with a bridge.
Cleaning - Prophylaxis
It is important to maintain a regular professional cleaning routine. Bleeding gums and tartar accumulation are signs that a cleaning is needed. Ask about how fluoride can help prevent cavities.
Cleaning - Deep Cleaning
As tartar adheres to tooth, it cannot be removed by a toothbrush or floss. If left in place it irritates the gums around the tooth and causes bleeding. The irritated gums cause bone loss around teeth, this is called periodontal disease. To control periodontal disease we clean the tartar beneath the gums.
Partial Dentures
Occasionally teeth cannot be replaced with implants or bridges. If this is the case, partial dentures can be metal or flexible based and can replace missing teeth. Partial dentures can also be used as a transitory stage for implant placement.
Extractions
There are a variety of reasons a tooth may need to be removed. Teeth that have large cavities that cause them to break may need to be extracted. Mobile teeth may need to be removed. Ask us how we can replace a tooth that may need to be extracted.
Implants
Missing teeth should be replaced in order to improve chewing efficiency and prevent other teeth from shifting. Implants are screw like structures that are placed within the bone. Once healed, a crown is placed on top to restore chewing ability.
Dentures
When there are no teeth that are able to be saved, they should be removed. Dentures help replace teeth. If stability is questionable, implants may be placed in order to provide better retention of the dentures
